Walking in the Promise of Emotional Healing

They say time heals all wounds. Healing can take place but if we are constantly picking at our scars, reminding ourselves of the pain and putting our hearts in unhealthy situations the healing process may take a little longer.

The body was created to heal itself. So it is with our emotions. If we allow a healthy transition our pain will diminish over time.  Some ways we can position ourselves to receive healing is by changing our mindset, connecting with positive people and constantly forgive ourselves and others. There are many other ways to ensure a healthy healing process.  Find ways to turn away from things trying to flood your emotions with negativity. Embrace everything good. Seek peace and run after it. Take a chance to breathe again. Posture yourself to be healed by God when you are hurt by others. 

You were created to bring change. Will that influence be used to make positive change or negative? Will it cause healing to take place or multiple injuries?

Lord, let change begin in me. Allow my heart to be free from all hate and malice. I release my brother, sister, and even myself from the prison of my heart. My heart will no longer be a cell of bad memories but a place of praise and freedom.I may not understand why I was put in a position to be hurt by people but today I am determined to be healed by You.

You will smile again!

You will live again!

You will love again!

 Don’t’ allow the scars of the past steal your promise of walking in healing for today.

Prince the Legend "Purple Rain"

A legend is gone a true prince finally meets his king. Today we morn the lost of a great artist. Prince Rogers Nelson was a song writer, music producer, actor, multi instrumental, trend setter who lived outside of the box. At the age of 57, Prince closed the chapter of this life today April 21, 2016. 

Purple Rain one of Prince's ground breaking accomplishments. The 1985 movie and album was a great success. The Oscar wining song Purple Rain was also Nominated for a Golden Globe. In the midst of a tragedy Prince was able to step into his promise. Prince known for his stylish looks, and melodic sound didn't allow the chaos of his past hold him back from walking into his future.

Use this moment to reflect on how you can work with what you have to produce a better future for you and your family. Push your way to your promise. Don't allow the troubles of yesterday stop you from achieving success for today. 

Time to walk into your God given destiny.

Tonight Massachusetts will be remembering Prince by lighting up the Zakim Bridge with Purple lights. 

Tonight we cry purple tears in honor of Prince.

I’m determined to be free to embrace the truth of who I am

The Cover Up

Lord, please build my self-esteem

The cover of my false identity has been removed.

The cover up has released its grip.

I am faced with the reality of me.

Help me not to loose my promise!

In a world where everyone is trying to obtain the perfect look...

To be the next top model in our own right

Or Being super fly overnight

Nip tuck; add a little here, add a little there does this look alright?

We find ourselves searching for the right color (hair, skin and nails)

By way of tanning, bleaching, and painting

What will help me look my best and feel my best? 

What will be my very best cover up and hide my flaws?

Help me not to reveal the errors in my life

The scars of my past and the horrors of my present

I want to look like my idols, like the images of beauty placed before me

Don’t’ let them see the gray areas in my life

Lord, please build my self-esteem

The cover of my false identity has been removed

The cover up has released its grip

I am faced with the reality of me

Help I loosing my promise!

My self-esteem has increased

I feel it rising from the depths of my soul

The look of social media is not my perfect image anymore

Realizing the beauty of me…

I have a unique beauty

My hair is my own design

My shape is divine

I am beautiful in my own skin

In building my self-esteem the image of social media no longer applies

I look for ways to help me feel good about me

I celebrate the girl who has successfully achieved her perfect look 

I accept the challenge of loving me just the way I am

Lord thank you for building my self-esteem

For removing the false identity that has locked me in

I have been released from a cell of false identity

I am enjoying the beautiful reality of me
